Community Guidelines

FlexMatches is a fitness-partner app. People come here to find someone to train with. These rules keep that experience workable for everyone. They apply everywhere on FlexMatches: profiles, photos, messages, sessions, circles, and any in-app interaction.

1. Be a real person, training in good faith

  • Use your real name (or a clearly recognizable nickname).
  • Use real, recent photos of yourself. No celebrities, no AI-generated faces, no someone-else's-Instagram pics.
  • Keep your fitness level, sport list, and city accurate. Misrepresentation wastes other people's time and is grounds for removal.
  • One account per person. Duplicates and "burner" accounts are removed.

2. This is a workout app, not a dating app

FlexMatches connects people for training. We're not a dating, hookup, or romance platform.
  • No romantic or sexual solicitations in profile, messages, or sessions.
  • No suggestive photos. Workout clothing is fine; gym/sport context is fine. Lingerie, swimwear-as-default, shirtless mirror selfies as your only photo, etc. are not.
  • No "looking for ___ benefits" framing in bios or messages.
If you want to date or flirt, use a dating app. If you keep doing it on FlexMatches, your account will be removed.

3. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated

  • No harassment. No name-calling, slurs, threats, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact after someone has stopped responding.
  • No discrimination. No content or messages targeting people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status.
  • No body-shaming. Critique your own training, not someone else's body. People at every level are welcome here.
  • No "negging" or unsolicited fitness advice. Coaching is great when invited; condescending DMs are not.

4. Keep it legal and safe

  • No content promoting violence, self-harm, eating disorders, or extremist ideologies.
  • No selling, promoting, or sharing illegal substances, performance-enhancing drugs (steroids, SARMs without prescription, etc.), or weapons.
  • No commercial solicitation, MLM recruiting, or "personal training packages" without our written permission. Coaches and gyms: contact gyms@flexmatches.com if you want to partner with us.
  • No spam, mass messaging, scraping, scripts, or fake engagement.

5. Protect minors

FlexMatches is for users 18 and older. If you become aware of a user who appears to be under 18, report them immediately. Any account suspected of belonging to a minor is suspended pending review and removed if confirmed. Sexual content involving minors is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement without exception.

6. Respect the people you meet in person

  • Show up on time, or cancel with reasonable notice. The "no-show" report exists for a reason.
  • Confirm sessions through the app so the trust tier reflects actual reliability.
  • If you say "training partner only," act like a training partner only. Don't pivot mid-session.
  • Respect "no" the first time. Whether it's a session offer, a contact-info request, or a meeting place, "no" ends the conversation.

7. Other people's privacy is not yours to share

  • Don't post photos of other FlexMatches users outside the app without their permission.
  • Don't share another user's profile, messages, location, or contact details with anyone.
  • Don't take screenshots of in-app messages and post them to social media. (Reporting them to safety@flexmatches.com is the right channel.)
  • Doxxing (publishing someone's home address, workplace, real name, etc. without consent) is grounds for permanent removal and may be reported to law enforcement.

8. Reporting

If you see something that violates these guidelines:
  • Use the in-app Report button on any profile, message, or session.
  • Use Block to immediately stop further contact (silent — they aren't notified).
  • For serious safety issues, email safety@flexmatches.com with as much detail as you can.
  • For copyright takedowns, see our DMCA Policy.
  • If you're in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US) first. We can't help with real-time emergencies.

9. How we enforce

We take action proportional to the violation:
  • Warning. First-time minor violations may get a warning and a content-removal request.
  • Trust tier impact. Confirmed reports lower your trust tier (visible to other users).
  • Temporary suspension. Repeated or moderate violations.
  • Permanent removal. Severe violations (harassment, threats, sexual content involving minors, doxxing, fraud) are permanent and we may notify law enforcement.
  • No refunds. Pro subscribers removed for guideline violations are not eligible for refunds for the unused portion.
Decisions are made by us (FlexMatches LLC) based on our review of the available information. We are not a court. We aim to be fair but cannot promise individual case-by-case adjudication. If you believe an action against your account was a mistake, email support@flexmatches.com within 14 days for a single appeal.

10. These guidelines change

We update these guidelines as we learn what works. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when we last touched them. Material changes are posted here and may be announced in-app.
